SWARCO RAIDERS Tirol celebrate clear opening victory in the BIG6

The SWARCO RAIDERS Tirol have made a big step towards the fifth Eurobowl participation in club history. On Saturday night they won significantly in the first group game of the BIG6 European Football League with 47:14 at Flash de La Courneuve.

The victory was the second in the third international comparison with La Courneuve. "This win was incredibly important. Quarterback Sean Shelton threw four touchdown passes, three of them on wide receiver Kyle Callahan. Running back David Oku scored with a kickoff return touchdown. Running Back Fabien-André Gärtner found the way into the end zone twice and the SWARCO RAIDERS defense conquered three fumbles.

After halftime the Tyroleans quickly increased the lead by Shelton's 4-yard touchdown pass to Gärtner. The extra point gave the 21:7. Paris responded with a 16-yard touchdown pass from Durand on Lesuperbe. Ziane shortened by PAT.

But the following kickoff brought the next points for the guests from Tyrol. Oku took the ball on the 9-yard line and sprinted into the end zone without hindrance of a French player. The extra point was blocked. But the SWARCO RAIDERS now led by 27:14.

Before the end of the third period, the Tyroleans scored for a bigger lead: After a fumble from La Courneuve Shelton threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Callahan. The extra point failed again. But the Tyrolean had a 33:14 now.

In the final quarter the SWARCO RAIDERS finally moved away. The defense forced two turnovers and Shelton threw two touchdown passes to Callahan over 23 yards and 3 yards. In addition there were two extra points of Abfalter. In the end it was 47:14 victory for the Austrian Guest over the French hosts.
