On nice Sunday afternoon Prague Panthers and Chrysler Vienna Vikings have
met for the first time in team history. In front of 700 spectators both teams
showed attractive and fast football. Panthers took the lead in first quarter
on pass from Mike Horton,Vikings answered the same way.Second quarter had 2
TD from Vikings,Panthers answered with TD and field goal.Halftime score -
Vikings 21 - Panthers 17. In the 3rd quarter Vikings QB scored another 2
TD's, Panthers were able to answer only once.Last quarter Panthers scored 1
TD,trying to tie the game but onside kick which could give the Panthers
another chance to score was not good and Vienna with good clock management
held the ball until the time ran out. Both teams showed attractive football
with a good mix of runs and passes, both defenses showed some nice plays.
Moments that decided the game : Panthers missed FG in second quarter and two
point conversion was not good after last TD in 4th quarter. Vikings defense
was able to stop Panthers twice in their own red zone and Vikings QB fumbled
the ball on Panthers 1 yard line in 4th quarter.
